Issue Question: Downsizing US military or not?

President Obama has recently announced that he would like to downsize and modernize the United States military. This would help with the nation’s debt and new military goals. Some feel that this is a good plan. The nation would save over 400 billion dollars in the next 10 years. More efforts would be focused on creating unmanned drones and cyber weaponry meaning less people will be killed in direct combat. Others feel that science cannot fight our battles or keep us safe. Less superior countries will always have people to fight their battles on the ground.  Plus, if the military size is downsized, some people would lose their jobs and that, in return, would hurt the U.S. economy.  We want to know what you think, “Should the United State military downsize and rely more on drones?”
