The 2011-2012 Assignment: The World Season begins the week of September 13, 2011 and concludes the week of May 22, 2012. The season begins with episode #5300 and ends with episode #5332.
Special Edition/Evergreen Episode
This season’s Special Edition/Evergreen episode will air the week of September 13, 2011 and is episode #5300.
Description: Have you ever wondered how and why the Earth rotates on its axis? Or why when light touches a prism we see a separated rainbow of colors? Learn the answers to these questions and more. In this special edition of Assignment: the World all of those questions and more will be answered as we take a look at the Wonders of Science. Brian Koberlein, from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and Tim Cawley, from the Rochester Museum and Science Center, show us how science connects to our everyday lives using some interesting science experiments.
In order to provide stations and educators with the most up-to-date information about Assignment: The World. We have provided a variety of press releases, including a general customizable release, for stations to include in their Education Newsletters, to post on their websites, or to pull content from for their social media promotion. Also, educators can feel free to promote their use of the program in their Classroom or School Newsletters as well.

NETA will continue to sponsor a weekly feed and refeed of Assignment: The World during the 2011-12 School Year.
If you are public television station interested in licensing Assignment: The World for your school, district or public television station, you must contact both NETA and AIT. To receive the feed information, you must register with NETA and pay a licensing fee. You must also be authorized by licensing the content from AIT. Broadcast and video streaming licenses available.
